March Daily Challenge - Shoes

Day 18 of MissyMoo's March daily challenge - Shoes: {charity prompt} Take a photo of yours or somebody's else.

Having spent last week trying to get ahead on the weekend jobs, as I wasn't going to be able to do them at the weekend, I'm now trying to catch up on those that couldn't be done in advance. The result of that is that this is a backblip.

The first year that I was a member of my camera club one of the themes for their annual themed competition was shoes. It was chosen by evey member writing down suggestions and 2 being drawn from a hat - one for prints, one for projected. Two ladies admitted to having put shoes in as a theme, but both denied that the subject that was drawn was their writing. On the night we had a husband and wife couple judging, she did the projected, he did the prints (which was the shoes theme). He saw one image and said "they're not shoes they're boots". His wife told him not to be so narrow in his interpretation (in slightly stronger words), which was a good job as my entries were all around clogs!

Anyway, here are the soles of one of my walking boots, what you can't see here is how worn they are in places, time for a new pair, but that involves shopping, and not just shopping - but SHOE SHOPPING! - I'm a bloke, I don't do such things if I can avoid it!
