Getting serious with Ivy

Been tackling overgrown ivy growing up an arch, started yesterday, 3 large bags filled. Today getting nearer the inside but the loppers don’t cut the thick stems very well, too fibrous. Afternoon session suddenly came to an end as short but heavy downpour threatened to wash me away. I will try again tomorrow with renewed energy.
