Toot Toot

I was going to replace the bathroom floor today, unfortunately low stock at Topps Tiles means that will have to wait for another day (drat, I was so looking forward to it).

So H and I tackled the next job on the list, sorting out the spare, spare room. It's very cramped and there is a lot of 'stuff' in it so it took a while, all done now though, we even managed to get curtains up for the first time in 10 years.

Whilst we were slaving away at that I heard a 'toot toot' from outside, from this lovely steam engine.

It was there for a wedding, poor folks getting married in the rain, mind you some of the best people get married in the rain. I popped down to take a few shots and got chatting to the drivers/engineer. It turns out it was built over 10 years and finished in the mid 90's, the 1990's that is. The chap that built it did it from a set of original drawings that he scaled down by 50%.. That is proper engineering, very impressive.

The rest of the day was spent relearning how to program the lights for Hendstock, I really need to write it all down this time.
