It’s a good year for butternut squash!

Torrential rain, then sunshine repeated pretty much all day with high winds too! The pool heater finally gave up but luckily we’ve arranged for the electricians to come on Monday morning to install a new one! The new one is even more efficient and will save us money etc etc, they say that about everything here!, but I’ll be happy if it just heats the pool!
The gîte children all went in, in pouring rain and sounded like they were having a good time anyway. Meanwhile we picked tomatoes, aubergines, beans and new potatoes from our potager.
