First Snow

When I saw the snow on the peaks I went out early to catch the light on the tops. I did a bit of trespassing for this shot, going a short way into a stubble field through an open gate. Unfortunately it was too dark down here to show the golden stubble.

This is the first snow the mountains have had this autumn. Last week there was none at all on them, not even the usual speck in the ravine below the Rubicon Peak.

Then I went to Christchurch, had my flu shot, and did my shopping. It's lovely and sunny, but there's a nip in the air.
