Venus and Cupid!

Love, The Most Beautiful of Absolute Disasters is the name given to this sculpture which sits on Morecambe sea front. It's more commonly referred to as Venus and Cupid. It is to commemorate the 24 cockle pickers who died in the bay in 2004.

Apparently the harsh winter months in 2017 and 2018 caused the sculpture to suffer in the frost and it had to undergo essential upkeep costing £4000! That's quite the face lift!!
