St Pancras Station/Renaissance Hotel

Afternoon off to see the Mughals exhibition at the British Library today. Fascinating collection of beautiful minature paintings, books full of beautiful calligraphy and other things such as the crown of the last Mughal Emperor (lent by HRH The Queen!) and a gorgeous jade terrapin (bigger than a football) found in a watertank in an old fort in 1800 or so when it was already 200 years old.

No photos inside the exhibition of course but the station building next door caught my eye. It's very like Victoria Terminus in Mumbai (though that is more detailed and even more beautiful - it was modelled on St Pancras station). Both are Victorian Gothic - as is my office in fact. Lucky me :)
