Books

We are a book loving house and the house hasn't felt right with all our books in storage during our building works.

This weekend the shelves went up, the the books came back and today my desk so I can comfortably work from home again. It's all starting slowly to get re-sorted, although still a long way to go until the whole house has finally had at least 1 new lick of paint on all it's surfaces.

These two books were amongst the returning ones and go to prove our families long relationship with books - the Byron is from 1903 and belonged to my great grandad when he was in the navy, the wood covered bible is from 1945 and belonged my husband's grandad when he was in the army in Italy.

Unfortunately the Byron was in a bad way when I gained it as a teenager after my grandad died - it needs just a little tlc I think to ensure it can be passed down to another generation.
