Moeraki Lighthouse

Today I have come down to my sons so stopped off on the way where I could see across the ocean to the Moeraki lighthouse , my husbands favourite fishing spot. When we were young I would go as well we could drive to the lighthouse and then had to walk to the island which you can see in the extra. It was a long way and when you got down there you had to jump over a deep gut to get on to the island. I was always a bit of a scaredy-cat. Once there the fishing was great for greenbone and COD and we used to get sea run salmon as well. After Gordon died I really missed having endless salmon in my freezer.
Tomorrow more adventures planned so may well not get a blip in
