Day 2 ....
A late posting. We watched an old film, The Go Between, and then chatted for ages. A late night...
Another wonderful day even though it’s rained throughout. We had a full breakfast out and then Valerie took us to The Newt, near Castle Cary, an amazing venue with a high walkway suspended through a forest to an exhibition area, where we spent a good few hours at The History of Gardening. Wow, how clever these designers are! So many different garden styles over the centuries and crossing countries. Really difficult to convey in a photo. The walls were fantastic with amazing displays of garden tools.
My extra is on our walk under the suspended bridge. This deer was too interested in eating to be disturbed by us.
A quiet evening and a fish and chips supper before watching the movie.
Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of my school friend Maureen. It was good to be in touch with her husband Chris and their daughter. They were going to be together today.
