The Man Who Fell Back Down To Earth Again
David Bowie sits at number one this week, not just in the U.K. Album charts, but in many countries round the world, and his return after a ten year musical absence see's the Starman shine brighter than ever as he crashes back down to Earth. This is The Next Day.
It's a welcome return for the man who ch-ch-changed the world, with his many guises and ground breaking, chart topping albums, as the charts today are littered with so many bland bands and plastic pop.
Proving just how good his legacy is, he's done more for his music and his name by doing nothing for the last ten years than any current pop star will ever hope to achieve with whatever they try to release in what, for most of them will be very short lived careers. And in ten years time, and beyond, we'll still be talking about and listening to Bowie where most of the chart topping bands of the moment will be distant memories in the great pop dustbin.
We now eagerly look towards the announcement of a tour where he will once again share his Sound And Vision with the world.
