The Local Wood
Yesterday's blip featured a new painting that now hangs on our wall. The scene in the painting reminded me of our local wood, so I thought today I would see if I could get an image there. This morning was too wet to even attempt any outdoor photography, but the rain cleared this afternoon and as I had to collect the car from the garage, I decided to take the path down through the wood. This evening when I downloaded the image I remembered that my first ever blip was taken here in January. It was entitled "Hornbeam Coppice". The result of the coppicing can be seen in this image, It has allowed more light into the wood. In May this area was carpeted in bluebells - a bit like the scene in the painting!
