Black beans!

We have been growing this unusual variety of beans this year and they seem to be developing well - but more like French beans than runner beans. Today we decided to pick some and have them with our lamb chops and boiled potatoes for supper - they turned out to go a dark green in the boiling water and tasted just like the normal French beans. Normal beans after all!!
