Another walk in the Dales

Despite the forecast for rain, we set out from Settle in good spirits. I was on the easiest one which was 7 miles (ish) and with less than 1000feet of ascent.

We climbed one hill which allowed me to take a view down the valley. It shows a typical Dales layout.

We saw a remarkable lime kiln and enjoyed a walk along the riverside back to Settle and a welcome cuppa in a cycling shop!

Anthony from Austria phoned to say that he and his family are in Ilkley until lunchtime tomorrow. It’s a shame we can’t meet but I’ll organise a Zoom meeting to celebrate Mum’s birthday.
