Mrs Swan and two cygnets wait below the jetty hoping that some surplus chips will appear from above. They didn’t seem to realise that the previous people there had moved. 

An evening walk today. We drove through Ambleside early in the afternoon after a shop in Windermere and it was packed. Traffic was slow moving and there were queues outside some cafes and restaurants. Interesting to see a field, midway between the shops and Waterhead, turned into a temporary car park.
