The Rowan Tree

This is a shoot from the one that the wind blew down a few years ago and now is just a stump but one or two shoots grew from the base so we kept one going a few berries each year but this year it is full of berries.
Rowans are reputed to keep the witches from the door if you have one near the gate. I think it could be true because those i look on as witches never darken my door.

A lovely warm morning had a nice walk then called at Tesco for a few groceries to keep stocked up. I treated us to some Cart D'Ore Rum and Raisin ice cream will try it on a hot day. Cant seem to get any Flakes to make a 99 though. It seems they have disappeared off the shelves.
