AOG - Day 13

And the big event of the day was when Hermione Hummingbird Clearwing Moth took the Gold in the Under-Hover event.  Team Hummie also medaled in this event, but no one could even come close to Hermione with her proboscis extended its full length while she balanced in the air on her gossamer wings. The fans went wild, as you might imagine.  

Even though they got Silver and Bronze, Team Hummie was in a bit of a snit and almost before you could say "branzino", a fight broke out.  It was over as quickly as it began but Chuckie was issued a warning for brawling.  He was photographed by yours truly with the damning evidence right in his beak.  see HERE

One of the other keenly awaited events today was the Begging Event.  The field of competitors was crowded with young members of the Titmouse, Cardinal, House Wren and House Finch Teams all vying for top honors.  The Gold went to Tolliver Titmouse for his absolutely stunning Begging Routine which can be seen HERE -  if only we had audio....

Yesterday's paddle was hugely enjoyable and I had hoped to get out again today but errands and energy have conspired against that plan.  Tomorrow, however, I'm meeting up with some friends for a nature walk.
