the midas touch

Everything that D has touched this afternoon has turned to gold.

Sarah had gifted him some gold mica powder which she used to mend one of Chris's broken mugs using the Japanese technique of kintsugi. D was  experimenting with the powder for his paintings - he had set everything out on the lawn when I left to go for a walk. I'm so glad he was working outdoors as when I returned, the powder was everywhere..and he had lovely glittery hair! He is in the shower now, washing it all out.

I've spent the day recovering from my trip, catching up on sleep, doing some housework, and typing out some articles I had written for the Dunscore Digest. Joanna visited briefly with some lovely food - a quinoa salad and some different energy balls. I was grateful as there isn't much food in the house - tomorrow will be shopping day.

Making the most of the lovely sunny weather, as I think rain is on its way..
