Not a worm

or a snake.
It is the caterpillar of an Elephant Hawk Moth and it is almost 100mm long.
It is possibly looking for a comfortable spot to hibernate for the winter and become the stunning adult moth.
I thought you’d like this more than more pictures of the model yacht.
