Lines on my desk

This is my take on the theme of "lines", that hobbs gave cathaber in her practice for the Cardiff Photo-marathon (which I've entered as well). My aids were a Fresnel lens, a sheet of graph paper and a desk light. That's all. I've done nothing to the image except crop it.
Anyone like to name the main light curve? Maybe it's a parabola, maybe not.
