Two Days Until Leaving Time
Today was a different day than intended. We were going to do something that would take quite a bit of time, so we kind of planned our day around that. We weren't able to get that done today, instead, we will be going tomorrow. So, we ended up not having a plan at all for the day. Turkey is HOT right now, so it's not really fun to just walk/faf about during the day. You'll end up having heat stroke within 2 hours. So, we came back to Balat, had some lamachun for lunch, and I accidentally had a 2 hour nap.
Last night, we met up with some friends that we met through our other friends, amanda and zach. After 5 glasses of wine, (Steven had way too many beers to count) we were telling each other lots of things about our lives. It was a lovely night, considering we don't get to spend loads of time with other people our age.
We started our 9 week workout program yesterday. Working out 5x a week, and dieting the best we can while traveling. I am desperate to drop 20 pounds and go back to my pre covid weight, and Steven has told me that in 9 weeks I can definitely accomplish that goal. I am so determined, and then on the first night I have 5 glasses of wine. I feel so bummed. Like I just forked it all up.
Steven is great. He told me not to fret and that night's with new friends are worth the minor setbacks. It's what life is about. We started fresh today, and I'm ready to kick this thing into gear. I'm hoping that in a few months I'll be starting to feel like myself again!
