Olympics

The Olympic Games have been televised for over a week and I think we have watched every U.S.A. volleyball match, both indoors and on the sand - men's and women's, as well as a number of matches featuring other countries. We managed to escape the house for a bite to eat downtown, but didn't escape the volleyball coverage. We were sorry to see four-time Olympian Jake Gibb (shown here) lose in the quarterfinals, ending his last Olympic run. A bit strange seeing someone you have had drinks with (see extra) on the television at the largest sporting event in the world.

We are off tomorrow on another trip - visiting my sister in Louisville for a week and then a couple days in Washington State. My blip presence will most likely be spotty, but will catch up when we return in two weeks time.
