Petrified

There were 8 bears left in the Men's steeplechase. Bryson, Briggs, Boone, Brock, Bjorn, Boaz, Booker, and Durwood. Briggs was the clear favorite, having been rated #1 in the world for 3 years.

Briggs the bear was in the warm-up area before the race, when he was approached by Boris, a bullfrog...a less-than-pretty bullfrog. 

"Mr. Briggs, I need my boy Brock to win this race. If you cross the line first, I'm going to put a spell on you...and both you and your gold medal (a big salmon) will turn to wood. 

"I don't believe you Boris."

Perhaps he should have.
