The Male Cardinal, at His Bath

I was sitting in the backyard in the cool morning, when the cardinal showed up to take his bath. We have numerous water stations around the yard. Some are at ground level. Others are on tables, or otherwise elevated. My husband cleans and refills them on a daily basis.

This is the water station the cardinal selected. Beneath the water dish is a fairy with wings, holding up a flower. Above the water dish are red monarda blooms. I guess he liked the thought of red bird and red bloom, as here he is, taking a lovely and refreshing bath!
