Hovering

Back in March I did an enjoyable walk along the River Darent from Horton Kirby to Farningham. Today I started from the same location in the opposite direction.  The map showed a series of lakes along side the river, which looked interesting, however they turned out to be "members only" fishing lakes :-(  Still it was a pleasent stroll, even if I did get caught (again!) in yet another cloud burst.

The hedgerows around the fields near the car park contain blackberry bushes in various states from buds and blooms to even some ripe berries.  The insects were also enjoying them, including this large hoverfly.
