Fellbrigg Hall

Another day blessed with good to reasonable light and a couple of very interesting places.  We started with Felbrigg Hall – a National Trust property with a vast estate, lots of walks and a superb walled garden.  As dogs are restricted access to places we need to view indoor areas separately and also the formal gardens.  The house was interesting – and I enjoyed capturing the reflections within it taking care to keep ‘me’ out of them!  I switched to the Lensbaby Velvet 56 for the flowers within the walled garden – no idea what they were but a great challenge to manual focus in quite breezy conditions.
On to Happisburgh.  Easy parking for a change and wonderful light with tide receding leaving patterns on the sand and exposure of the old sea defences.  Forecast not good for tomorrow but high tide is around midday so we will be back – even if only to admire through the motorhome windows!  I’d like to do some long exposures to get the swirling water if I can keep the rain off the lens!
The site tonight is quiet – apart from the calls of a cockerel, peacocks and pheasants!
