Don’t believe all you read

To be fair, this picture was taken yesterday but as I didn’t take any today it will have to do.

We left the hotel around 8.30am and whole experience from pick up to check in at the airport was very straightforward.  The flight was on time and arrived at LHR ten minutes early.  We cleared customers and baggage collect in record time and OH was outside to pick me up within 40 minutes of touching down. 

The M25 was busy but that’s not unusual, home unpacked and washing machine loaded.  A walk around the garden before it rained to check on progress and apart from a few casualties of the rain, the garden was looking surprisingly good.  Early dinner (I felt I should cook after being away for a week) while OH watched the Grand Prix.

So if anyone is contemplating a holiday abroad my advice would be ‘go for it’. To all the doomsayers who might try to put you off, ignore them.  It was a bit of hassle with the tests and form filling, but to have a week away after the last 18 months was absolutely worth it!
