Red kite

Today's the day ......................... to spread your wings

It's a while since I've blipped a red kite - so here's one I saw today.

I'm sure most days I will see at least one if not more, but they don't hang about for long and by the time you get your camera out and focus in, they are long gone.  This one was feeding on something in a field (hopefully a rabbit) and although it did take off, it came to rest in a nearby tree long enough for me to get a shot.

It's always a joy to see one .........................
