Self-cut

This was May's first full day with her new do. Earlier in the week she took scissors to her own head of hair. She is 4 years old. Not a good idea. A first in our family, but apparently a pretty common thing, based on all the smiles and storytelling I have received since May bared her little bald head to the world.

You can see some of the areas she cut herself in this photo, near the top of her head. She basically cut it to the scalp, leaving other parts really long. So my hairdresser doctored her up last night, taking it short all along. Doesn't look half bad really, though a little more growth will be a good thing.

Scissors are now officially hidden on the highest shelp imaginable!
