Local hostelry

Slept better last night, up showered, hairwashed and breakfast done, before we drove out to Rownhams to visit James & his family......partner S, little Finn & Amalie, with no.3 on the horizon......they live in a beauitful house, which James is currently extending, with a huge back garden!

After our visit we drove to The Four Horseshoes for a lovely lunch.....we all had fish & chips, so nice!! Back home afterwards for a lazy hour or two to let our food digest before getting changed to head to Claire & Andys for the evening. They also have a beautiful 1940s house, their own bar, The Brownlow Arms, which is in their back garden, as you can see here.....me, hubs sis Eileen and her eldest daughter Clare. When we arrived Clare had made us pornstar martinis, which was really nice, much to my surprise :-) then we had a couple of glasses of fizz, whilst talking to their kids, Lara & boyfriend Josh, and her Lewis.
Andy mad lovely burgers on the bbq, with cheese in a brioche, with mustard , yum!!

I had a little "moment" whilst eating my burger, it was just that I know hub would so have loved this evening, with his family, the dirnks, the bbq, the chat.....just his kind of night <3
I was ok though.....we all really enjoyed ourselves......walked back home around 10pm
relatively sober ;-)

Just gonna catch up on the ol olympic action from today before bedtime.

We've caught up with two of sis in laws four kids and families, one more in the morning, Barry's coming to see us, but Sara is on call this weekend so I don't think I will see her.

No specific plans tomorrow, other than a roast dinner later, maybe a walk if the weather is ok.
