Slug Deterrent ...

Every year I buy Echinacea plants but the slugs eat them!

So, this year I had the bright idea of cutting large squares of agri-fleece and securing them over the top of the plant pot with a large elastic band. These pots were planted up about 2 weeks ago and so far there is no slug damage and everything is growing healthily!

I will keep you posted and be very interested if anyone else tries this out and successfully grows their plant whilst keeping the slugs off! X

I have been outdoors (mostly in the greenhouse) all day. Sowing seeds continues, previously sown seeds coming along well - transplanted some Rocket, which is in the blip too. The air is very cold and the ground is very wet after all the rain. Slight brightness, but the sun didn't break through.
