Cairn William

We’d a walk today through Pitfachie forest (near Alford) up a hill called Cairn William. The forest is laid out with mountain biking routes and probably best avoided at weekends but today in 3 hours we only met 2 walkers and one cyclist. It was rather dull and overcast but we got decent views of Donside and over towards Millstone Hill and Bennachie (extra)
