In My World

Black, white and grey

For the last two days I haven't blipped a bird (that must be some kind of record for me!) and I almost blipped one of the shiny new wheels that I had put onto my car today too!

The story of the new wheels goes something like this ~ what with all the wet weather we have been having this year, the roads are positively full of pot-holes, many of which cannot be avoided. With the constant thump of landing in said pot-holes, two of my wheels were slightly bend, causing severe vibration in the car whilst driving.

I think it's time the Tweed Council used some of the money we are paying them in our rates to fix up the roads! It is possible to keep roads well maintained, I know this for a fact, as when you cross the borderline into Queensland, the roads there are as smooth as a babies, um, posteria!

But no, sense prevailed. You will just have to use your imagination to picture four shiny black wheels holding up my faded blue car. I didn't realise that it was looking drab and faded either, until the new wheels were installed!!

Instead, today I give you one of my adult Butcher Birds, looking very shiny and black also (in parts!) I like the way the light is making his feathers look so sleek. :))
