Achimenes

A very wild day, with strong gusts of wind and heavy rain showers, meant  I didn't venture out, which really isn't ideal. Caught up with some correspondence  and watched the first night of the Proms on the television. Lovely for the performers to have a live audience, at last, and good to see so many female musicians taking part, including Dalia Stasevska conducting. Vaughan Williams's Serenade to Music,  a new piece by James Mc Millan, Poulenc's legendary organ  concerto, and Sibelius's moving  second  symphony made for a brilliant concert.
My cheerful red Achimenes are just  coming into  flower so I have blipped one today.
