Out early to get some service work done on my car and waited there while the work was being done....2 hours, not a big deal.  Better than snagging a ride back to the house and then back to the auto shop to fetch the car!  
When I came home, this great egret was standing on the back of one of the chairs on the back porch!!!  I was shocked!  So I took a couple photos and then went outside to shoo it away.  Off it flew and I went back to my office to do some work and next time I looked out, IT WAS THERE AGAIN!  So I shooed it away and put our fake alligator head on the back of the chair.  So far (an hour later), that's working!
Extra is the first squirrel I've seen in a long time, even though there have been peanuts out there.  I don't recognize this one but it sure is nice to see they have re-discovered the free lunch at the squirrel picnic table.
