The first touches of Autumn

It is still summer at the moment but the first leaves are starting to turn along with the rowan berries, I have seen bracken, birch and now Rowan showing some signs of turning. Some of this has been hastened by the dry weather I think but Autumn air often arrives here in August,

I went for a walk in the woods with a friend this afternoon but no sooner had we started along the path then a wasp or bigger flew straight at me and stung me on the forehead. It was very painful for a short time and I now have a fuzzy brain and a lump on my head.

I will need a gin later to cure that I think, Harris, with Fevertree Mediterranean tonic and black pepper crisps.
