A rare garden visitor

This is only the second time in several years that I've seen a Meadow Brown in the garden! :-)

This is a female .... you can tell by the amount of colour on the upper wings ..... males have very little colour & only round the eye-spot.

I had gone out to find something for Flower Friday when I noticed this fluttering about!

Unfortunately it wouldn't land on any of the flowers that I could get near to .... it seemed to prefer this ex-flower but chuffed to get these images anyway .... hope you like them :-)

Update: Mum is doing better today .... thank you for all the well wishes for her yesterday :-))
