Beware of the Pigeons

A few weeks ago, we became aware of a pigeon spending a lot of time sitting on a nest it had constructed in a high growing Forsythia bush outside our front door. A few days ago, the chicks hatched and there are two fairly big chicks in the nest, that you can see to the right of the picture. The constant traffic to and from the front door (and the cat) didn’t seem to bother the adult bird, and doesn’t seem to bother the chicks either but we thought it wise to warn the postie, veg box delivery guy, window cleaner etc that this nest and family was at hand….
