The Eyes Have It!

I decided to drive in to the Arboretum on this morning to see the sights. The flowers are amazing now, and the veggies are really going to town. But for me, one of the best shows is always happening on the lily pond.

We've had more lotus blooms on the lily pond this summer than ever before, but somehow, I have missed catching a single one of them in full bloom. But that's OK, for now we have SEED PODS, which are one of the world's most amazing things.

This is the lotus seed pod that I found that had the most character. Look at those shapes. Don't they look like googly eyeballs, watching us all? If you are a trypophobic (someone who is afraid of closely packed holes), please look away!
