Nature's Window, Kalbarri National Park
Another long day driving today but it's a good opportunity to have a nap, which was much needed today because we were up at 6:00 to leave for our hike in Kalbarri National Park. Our guide for the day grew up in the area and has been in the park pretty much every day for most of his life so he gave us lots of little facts about the park. This park is home to one of the oldest fossils ever found, of a sea scorpion that was over 2 metres long. This photo is taken in the park and it's called Nature's Window because it was made by the strong winds that blow through the gorge. When we were done our hike we went back on the road to Shell Beach, which is one of only 2 beaches in the world that's made entirely of shells. They actually have a quarry there as well because they make bricks out of the ground up shells and also feed them to chickens! Once we arrived in Monkey Mia we headed straight for the ocean for a nice sunset swim! Another awesome day :)
