Dam

After a walk to Fairy Glen with much fun scrambling over the rocks we returned to Betws for ice cream sundaes and a toasted sandwich for Matthew (in that order) and then managed to drag him back out of the house to the river.

We returned to Friday's paddling spot, but with the water so much higher we couldn't get out so far. Instead we spent an hour building dams, in a process which felt like trying to build a drystone wall while batling a very strong wind. Wet stone walling maybe. Rolling my trousers up to the knees did not keep them dry, but it was well worth it for the fun. Up to knees and elbows in the river lugging rocks around :) brilliant.
