New oven

…. Was installed today along with the solar powered heater. I made some ANZAC biscuits to celebrate. 

Luckily we had a good solar collection day and all the excess was diverted into the new heat store. It is now keeping us very cosy after dark and not costing extra to run. We are not sure we have the controls working the right way but so far it does work very well. We should have had it running during the day with the windows open as the fumes are a bit strong at the moment. 

They had the worst day for Covid infections since the start of the pandemic in Sydney. They are trying to contain it as in most countries. The main areas that are causing concern are in the South Western Suburbs where there are many cultures and languages and the messages don’t seem to be getting through to the people. It’s a difficult time.
