Northern Cardinal. I am thinking this is probably the pair who raised at least one brood in the yard this year. They are bright spots and fun to watch.
Johnny mowed this morning. I do get concerned as our heat is dangerous. Our porch thermometer says 91’ and the weather Chanel gives a heat index of 106’ F . The humidity is bad too.
I’ve been piddling around the house getting a few things done. Alternating inside with outside chores. And I just realized! I have not eaten ! I think I’m hungry! :—)) Of course I could live off the “fat of the land” for quite sometime. Ha! I’m going to pop a pot pie into the oven.
