Pottery kiln

Already before the year 1000, the first potters settled in the valley of the Red Brook and the Merkelbacherbeek. From 1050 there was a significant pottery industry in Schinveld for more than 3 centuries.
Products of this industry were and are found in excavations throughout the Netherlands and even far beyond the national borders.
