Deer

The usual cycle and swim but an early finish as I had a document to amend before heading off to the office.  L was there and for a bit H too,  Got some work done and finally accessed the tender spec.

Despite all the signs of the motorway with amber weather warnings there was no rain and in fact it got really warm in the afternoon.  On the way back to the car I spied the deer across the grass nibbling on leaves.  Seemed quite relaxed even though I was in full view.  Then once finished h/she wandered slowly in Larbert Woods. 

I'd planned to stop in Linlithgow but it was so busy I just drove on and came home via a look a water butts in B&Q and a lizza from Tesco.

K was at her usual stance when I got back. Still don't get her.  I spent the rest of the evening out back.  It was cloudy but warm and very still.  And I actually lit the chiminea. That's taken 8 and a half years!  After quite a lot of smoke it went very well and did the job I wanted it to do.  Stayed out till after 10 just before it got really dark, sewing and listening to my second Chris Brookmyre.  am loving my garden!
