St Edwards Church
Ridiculous heat today and on our way to the Cotswolds for a couple of nights, the mercury hit 32degrees.
It wouldn't have been so much of a problem if we had been able to stick to Plan A where Viv was going to move in to look after Jorgie and the parrots.
However, just before she was due to arrive, she was pinged and told to isolate for 6 days. What a worry for her as she had recently been in contact with friends due to fly home to Barbados.
Jo, my neighbour, who sometimes feeds the birds, also had plans to be away so the task fell to my other neighbour, 91 year old Bill.
Bless him, he stood in at the last minute but I felt uncomfortable expecting him to visit them twice a day and to keep the house ventilated.
We were staying in Moreton in Marsh so a quick trip to see the famous church door in nearby Stow was high on my list of things to see.
To be honest our priority became keeping Jorgie and us as cool as possible.
We started off sleeping with the back doors of the van open but in. the middle of the night, a tawny owl and an owlet landed on a branch right outside.
Now that would have been a picture .....
