Back to Ulva

We didn’t go to Ulva when we were here last September as it was closed to visitors so it was lovely to go today.  Misty and still so we didn’t get the views but a lovely atmosphere.  We ate at The Boathouse of course which has the loveliest setting of any cafe ever.  It’s under new management and more expensive but the langoustines and dressed crab were sublime.  Walked in the gardens of the house which are being restored and round the woodland walk which has become very overgrown with no walkers last year. 

Charlotte came to dinner and we lit the fire pit and burned the driftwood log i picked up on the shore yesterday and barbecued sausages with good wine.  No midges to report.
