Sweet Peas in July?

I taught my two classes today then worked much of the afternoon on botanical garden stuff. Played a quick 9 with my good buddies and played well - finally broke 50 for the first time this year!

It’s now dinner time and I took a quick wander in the garden to find a blip. I planted a few sweet pea seeds at the base of a trellis in late March. They quickly got covered with sedum and I’d forgotten about them until I saw a small vine poking up a month or so ago. Low and behold they finally blossomed! I guess their feet are damp and cool and they’re looking beautiful now. Not sure what a hot forecast later this week will do to them. But I sure am enjoying this lovely surprise right now!
