Waverley

If you live near the River or Firth of Clyde the sight and unique sound of the paddle steamer Waverley is a joy to behold. Its great to see this proud vessel back in full service after a couple of difficult years due to necessary repairs and the impact of Covid-19. We have a trip on board planned for August and are really looking forward to going 'doon the watter'.

Only a few minutes after seeing the Waverley a large tanker came down the Clyde (see additional photo). The river is not usually this busy so it was rare to see two large vessels so close together.
