Walk at Chew Valley lake this morning
With a friend I used to work with. We started at 9, to avoid the heat, so we saw a mistiness on the lake. The main blip is of the grasses and trees from the path beside the lake. I really liked this view - with an apple tree near the centre - as it reminds me of an impressionist painting, maybe Monet or Sisley. I think maybe it’s the poplars. The extra is of the lake, which is fabulous I think, and pretty big considering it’s near Bristol. If you eat Yeo Valley yogurt - we were very close to the organic farm and dairy. As we crossed a bridge over one of the streams that flow into the lake, I saw a tiny iridescent turquoise bum disappearing into the distance. Even if my phone had been in my hand, I could not have got a shot of it. My quest for a kingfisher blip continues:)
